The Roads Are Turning

A poem about change, courage, hope and positivity.

An illustration of a woman with a red hair and billowy blue floral dress standing against a flat pink background
"The Roads Are Turning" | Gouache & Digital | 2018

The days go so fast

and I have just begun

I must go for a thousand more

and there aren't roads to run

I drove for dreams to come—

A golden curtain of the sun!

I heard the mountain tops cry

Where echoes return

where they began

My love is just a mirror—

A sea foam in my head

I shall weep alone today

For when tonight's

a hope for tomorrow,

I'll be here where I stand!
